1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. 2. Peel and slice the potatoes. 3. In a sauce pan over medium heat, melt the butter then add the cornstarch. 4. Stir in the half & half and the spices. Bring to a boil then simmer for 10 minutes. 5. Grease a pan and build the potatoes. 6. Add a spoonful of sauce to the bottom of the pan, then add 1/4 of the potatoes, then 1/4 sauce and repeat. Top with cheese. 7. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Garnish with chives. Enjoy!
