You must make these for New Years. I made it with ham & ham hock for extra flavor. You can eat the peas by themselves or make this bruschetta that’s so delicious! I used sourdough, goat cheese, black-eyed pea, & green onions.

1. In a large pot, melt butter & sauté onions for about 7 minutes then add the garlic. 2. Add the spices, ham, peas, ham hock, and then stir in the chicken broth. 3. Bring to a boil then simmer for 1 hour. Add water if needed so there is liquid in the pot. 4. Garnish with fresh chives when ready to serve. Enjoy!
