I’m so excited to share my favorite holiday recipe with y’all! It’s my moms cinnamon bread. My house smelled amazing last night & gave me all the feels from my childhood. My mom would make this to enjoy every Christmas morning when I was a kid. I hope you have a chance to try this awesome recipe!

What you need

salt

½ tsp salt

baking soda

1 tsp baking soda

orange peel

1 ½ tsp orange peel

sour cream

1 cup sour cream

vanilla extract

1 tsp vanilla extract

milk

all purpose flour

2 cup all purpose flour

sugar

butter flavor shortening

½ cup butter flavor shortening

cinnamon powder

2 tsp cinnamon powder

baking powder

1 ½ tsp baking powder

egg

Instructions

Cream together sugar and shortening until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla; beat well. Blend in sour cream and milk. Stir together flour, baking powder, soda, salt; add to creamed mixture. Mix well. Spread ¼ mixture into each of 2 greased 7½ x 3½ x 2″ pans. Sprinkle cinnamon filling over batter reserving 1 Tbsp. for topping. Top with remaining batter. Cut through batter gently with knife to make swirling effect with cinnamon filling. Top with remaining filling. Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes or until done.
