Sweet & Sour Meatballs

Forget take out this week and make my Sweet & Sour Meatballs! These are way healthier (probably half of the sugar), easy & of course delicious.

What you need

tsp garlic

tbsp water

cup pineapple
tsp cornstarch

cup onion

tbsp soy sauce

lb ground turkey

cup panko breadcrumbs
tsp oil

cup pineapple juice

bunch fresh cilantro

tbsp dried onion

cup ketchup

tsp spice mix

cup pepper
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. 2. In a bowl mix together the meatball ingredients (ground meat, minced dried onions, [Not So] Simple Spice, fresh cilantro, panko). Roll into balls and place on a greased cookie sheet. 3. Bake the meatballs at 400 degrees for 10-15 minutes or until the internal temp has reached 165°F. 4. In a skillet over medium heat, sauté the diced onions & peppers in the oil for about 6 minutes. 5. Stir in the minced garlic & sauté for another 2 minutes. 6. Stir in the remaining sauce ingredients (pineapple juice, soy sauce, ketchup, cornstarch mixed with water, diced pineapple) & simmer for about 5 minutes. Then stir in the cooked meatballs. 7. Cook for another few minutes then garnish with sesame seeds & fresh cilantro and enjoy!View original recipe
