cup onion

cup chicken broth

tsp pepper

tbsp unsalted butter
ham hock

1. In a large pot, melt butter & sauté onions for about 7 minutes then add the garlic. 2. Add the spices, ham, peas, ham hock, and then stir in the chicken broth. 3.
