Homemade Red Sauce

You definitely have to try this out. I love using this easy sauce on pastas, pizzas, lasagna, or anything else you want.

What you need

diced tomatoes with green chilies

tsp italian seasoning

tsp pasta sauce

tsp oregano

tsp mustard powder

tsp ground black pepper

salt

oz vegetable juice

lb tomato

onion

garlic
Instructions
1. Bring water to a bowl and add the tomatoes. Blanch for 5 minutes until the skins start to peel back. 2. Remove the tomatoes and discard the water. 3. Peel the skins off the tomatoes and set aside. 4. Sauté onion in oil then add spices, and garlic. 5. Add the tomatoes, v8, tomato paste and water. Simmer for 1 hour. 6. Using an hand blender to purée the sauce. Simmer for about 5 more minutes. 7. Add fresh herbs & enjoy!View original recipe
